I swear drawing blood from a stone is easier than getting security deposits back from some of these shady landlords and property managers out there. It's really not that hard - you hold the deposit, and if everything is all good at the end of the lease, you give it back. Simple as that. No need for theatrics and wild goose chases. Just do what you said you would when we signed the contract!

I believe this happens because most people simply don't have the time to pursue legal action, but this guy stayed patient and used whatever resources he had to force them to pay up.
